5th Grade Teacher: Village Adventist Elementary School (VAES) is a K-8 elementary school in the heart of Berrien Springs and just minutes from Andrews University. We have 9 classroom teachers, 1 full-time music teacher, and 1 full-time technology director. We also have 3 administrative staff, 2 cooks, and a number of other classified staff. VAES has an enrollment of approx. 175 students in K-8th grade. We have a strong music program, a comprehensive computer lab, and a strong home and school association. We offer an after-school care program for our students and parents. We provide a comprehensive program in a Christ-centered environment in order to give ALL students every opportunity to succeed. Our mission is to "unite school with home and church in cooperation with Divine agencies (God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, angels, the Scriptures, prayer, music, and nature) to prepare learners for citizenship in heaven, the earth made new, and effective citizenship here on earth until then." Experience

Qualifications: *Member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing. *Certified to teach in an Elementary (K-8) self-contained classroom. *SDA Certification/Credentials required. *MI State certification desired. *Experience in Middle School teaching desired, but not required.
