DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY The Accounting Services Director (ASD) provides oversight to the accounting services for the University College. The ASD is responsible to meet internal and external reporting requirements pertaining to accounting records. In all things the ASD implements the mission, vision, and core values of the University College. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Overall responsibility for accounting functions of the University College • Responsible for keeping timely and accurate accounting records for the University College • Payroll processing coordination and salary processing • Responsible for preparation of annual audited financial statements and required audit schedules • Safeguards the University College’s assets through accounting control policies • Responsible to develop and implement efficient and cost effective accounting procedures • Ensures government reporting and remittances are current • Assists in monitoring operating budgets • Executive Secretary of the Budget Advisory and Operations Committee • Other functions as appointed by the Vice President for Financial Administration
