DescriptionWe are seeking a 2nd grade teacher for school in Guangzhou, in southern China, just about two hours from Hong Kong by train. In China we cannot operate SDA schools and so our strategy is to offer existing schools an American curriculum that is taught in English, with an SDA curriculum, and by SDA teachers. The school has about 3,000 students but our program is in it's second year with only first grade and now second grade. There is a maximum of 20 students in each class. The campus is large, and nice, including a swimming pool. A free apt is included as well as your travel expenses here and back to the US each year. Medical insurance is also included. Even though the school you will be teaching at is a private, non-SDA school, you will be supported and supervised by an SDA administrator who will help you learn everything you need to know about working/living in China.
ExperienceYou should have denominational certification, and should love to work with young children. These students are mostly Chinese and they are a lively group of kids. Experience is good, but we also welcome new graduates. Above all, you must be able to share God's love with your students.
