Mountain View Elementary is seeking to hire a Grades 3-8/Head Teacher for the 2015-2016 school year. We are a two teacher, K-8 grade Adventist school located in Missoula, Montana in the Northern Rocky Mountains. Our 5 acre campus is 4.3 miles from the Missoula SDA Church. Missoula is at the confluence of three rivers and the snow ski area is just 15 miles from downtown. Outdoor activities abound in the immediate area and we are 2 hours from Glacier National Park and 4 hours from Yellowstone. Missoula is the home of the University of Montana and home to two hospitals. Our school has an active P.E. program which includes: snow skiing, ice-skating, swimming, disc golf and the usual outdoor sports as well as numerous field trips. We serve as the meeting place for the Pathfinder Club and the Adventurer Club. We currently have an enrollment of 21 students with about half coming from non-Adventist backgrounds. Our school is registered as a private school in Hong Kong and is located about 10 minutes driving distance from the mass transit. The school operates full US elementary and high school program in one campus with boarding facilities for students and the faculty. In the 2015-16 school year, which starts from August 24, we need three homeroom teachers who can teach at the following levels: grade 3/4 (one teacher), grade 5/6 (one teacher), grade 7/8 (one teacher who also teaches Mathematics for 6-8, plus two primary school remedial English teachers. The teaching load is similar to the North American schools and the school uses US textbooks with the exception of the Mathematics curriculum. Each contract is two year. Salary of these teachers will be dependent upon qualification and experience. The starting salary is around US$2,000 per month with medical insurance, provident fund (for retirement) and on-campus private unit housing, and the service can be added to the North America Division record. Every year overseas employees will receive return tickets to take their families back to their home country. Currently, we are also talking about giving a term end gratuity for those who stay for the second term.
