DescriptionYour NOT in America anymore!!! This is a chance for you to be a Light to shine for God's Kids in S. KOREA! For 6 years now we have been helping place teachers in Seventh-day Adventist Ele Schools in Korea! (This is NOT the Language School. If you currently teach at the Language School, you know what a good job they are doing for the people of S. Korea. Therefore we don’t want to harm their work so we must have their permission to talk with you about joining our Adventist Elementary Education Program in S. Korea.) This placement matches you with one of the many SDA Elementary schools scattered around S. Korea. Some in City, some in country. Some near the mountains, some by the Sea! But all working in "normal" Ele Classroom teaching both normal subjects and perhaps some ESL classes to help students speak better English. You might be working with lower ele. grades or grades 7&8. A Korean Teacher is normally working at their teacher desk during your teaching time. This comes in handy when kids might want to ask a question in Korean! This is a 1 year assignment. It is possible to extend. Furnished apartment provided. No need for car as public transportation really works! Teachers tell me it is a great place to save money and pay off student loans! They also tell me that take home pay is better than states because of tax program (subject to change) It is also a great way to hop country to country during vacation time and see ASIA!!! You will be expected to help with SS and Church as well as Sabbath afternoon activity -- depending on which school you are at. Our American Teachers are normally treated with honor and respect - you will be a honored guest if you agree to eat at students home - (unless you are really adventuresome - you might want to double check what squid and octopus looks like in a pot!! ((surprise!)) But bow & smile when you have to turn something down. It really is a great adventure - I learn something new each time I visit! Don't worry - if you like rice - you will do great!!! Roundtrip ticket provided - you agree to stay in Korea for your contract period. If you want a vacation break - just talk with your school to work with their calendar. PLEASE SEND A RESUME with 3 references - We can then talk and tell you all about this assignment!
